Automotive and Intralogistics Customer Chooses Schuberts For Their New UK Factory

Founded in 1953, Jungheinrich ranks among the leading solutions providers for the intralogistics sector, with revenue of €3.8 billion and more than 18,000 employees worldwide. With a comprehensive portfolio of material handling equipment, automatic systems and services, the company is able to offer customers tailored solutions for the challenges posed by Industry 4.0 from a single source.

Schuberts were approached to design, manufacture and install a bespoke high-end finishing system to deal with solvent based coatings, but to future proof the system for water-based in the coming years.

The system comprises of 5 separate ‘cells’, side by side to give the best possible product flow and quality.

Two of the cells are preparation dust booth enclosures, featuring full filtered air input, extraction and controlled air diffusion back into the factory zone.

Two of the cells are spray/dry enclosures, have modulating burners for spraying or drying, either full recirculation or full vent.

The systems can run from ambient to 20c for spraying and up to 60c for drying and baking. Full interlocks are provided and automatic roller doors ensure the zones are kept sealed during each of the operations.

A large paint mix room has permanent extraction, filtered air input, an ATEX heating system and a bunded floor to contain any spills.

This system boasts full HMI touch screens, full ATEX certification and the highest level of design, quality and manufacturing.

Made in Britain at its best!

Schuberts Re-Investing In The Future Of Finishing With Giardina Group

As part of the continual growth and advancement in the UK, Schuberts have yet again re-invested in the latest finishing technology. Schuberts are the ONLY manufacturer and supplier of finishing equipment in the UK with a production-spec Test Centre, Lab and Training Facility.

This month, we Schuberts the delivery and installation of the new Giardina Dualtech 420, fully automatic through-feed spray machine system. This machine is suitable for wood, metal, plastics, glass, composites and many other industries. It will accept 1k waterbased, 1k solvent based, 2k waterbased, 2k solvent based and lots of other sprayable coatings.

Capable of running up to 8m/min, it boasts multiple wet spray circuits, 8 Wagner GA400 guns, full self-cleaning paint recovery belt and a whole host of other features that set it aside from the normal competition. With inverter driven fans the system can be tailored to the customers exact requirements. Made ready for Industry 4.0, the Giardina machine is prepared for the future!

All Dualtech spray machines have in common is the top quality of key technical features, including two opposing painting arms and a large cabin which guarantees an optimal application on both the panel’s surface and edges.
Other noteworthy features are the technology to recover paint from the conveyor belt and the latter’s cleaning system, unequalled solutions in terms of extremely low washing solvent consumption, a longer belt service life and a very simple operation.

All Dualtech machines can be fitted with accessories and technological solutions to further increase their flexibility, productivity and reliability. This includes the “Dualfast”, the system that allows you to change guns – and hence the spraying circuit – in less than 60 seconds, thereby maintaining optimal working conditions; the option of the PLC controlled vertical positioning system of the guns also guarantees excellent painting cycle repeatability; the electronic control for the ventilation inside the spray chamber which is required for extending the efficiency and operating time of the spray machine. All versions are available with a “Dry” or “Wet” solid particulate disposal system.

New 420 Automatic Spray Machine Launched

Schuberts presents the Giardina “Dualtech 420”, the first stage of the renovation process that will affect the entire range of “Dualtech” automatic through-fee spraying machines, a technology that represents fifty years of experience in spray painting in the name of quality, reliability, flexibility and ease of use.

Among the most interesting technical features the two opposing painting arms that guarantee an optimal application both on the surface and on the edges of the panel and the technology for the recovery of the paint that falls on the conveyor belt and the cleaning system of the latter, solutions that have no equal in terms of very low consumption of the cleaning solvent, a longer life of the belt, and a high simplicity of operation.

Each machine in the “Dualtech” range can be equipped with accessories and technological solutions to further increase flexibility, productivity, and reliability, such as the quick gun exchange system “Dualfast”, which allows you to change guns – and consequently the spraying cycle – in less than 60 seconds or the automatic vertical positioning system of the guns, or the electronic control of the ventilation inside the spray chamber, perfect for extending the efficiency and operating time of the sprayer.

Yorke Towne, Toronto, Test Centre Sees Additional Install

Yorke Towne Supplies Ltd, Schuberts’ sole agents for Ontario, Canada have just taken delivery of the next phase of the new production-spec Test Centre.

The fully integrated ATEX CSA system features a manual smart booth spray system. This constantly monitors and automatically adapts the airflow and pressure differential inside the spray zone, keeping dust out, vapours inside and overspray drawn into the extraction filters. The system makes up for doors being opened, quality and saturation of the filtration system and changes in factory pressures (dust extraction, loading bay doors etc)

A flash-off section connects directly to the spray enclosure and allows coated product to flow out, settle and vent before going into the Schubox for rapid drying. The flash-off features filtered air input and low level extraction, again with 1000 lux lighting sets.

The Schubox completes the Test Centre, allowing either solvent or water based coatings for wood, glass, PVC, GRP and composites to be rapidly dried, at low temperature in record time. Utilising CSA and ATEX approved gas catalytic log wave infra red emitters, the Schubox can run from 30c to 50c and in combination with BA stainless, fireproof carcass, filtered air input and a unique recirculating airflow inside the Schubox.

For more information and to run trials in the Yorke Towne Canadian Test Centre, email scesario@yorketowne.com or call +1 905-762-1200
