New Giardina Full Spray Line Installed

A well-known UK  manufacturer of wooden and timber components has taken delivery of a custom Giardina spray and drying line from Schuberts.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All of the production trials were carried out at the Schuberts Test Centre near Sheffield to define correct film weights, flash-off times, drying temperatures and energy required. The coating is a special knot-blocking, 100% waterbased coating, so drying was key to the process.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Double, quick change circuits are fitted to the Giardina spray machine, with Wagner pumps and GA4000 auto guns, meaning rapid colour changes, flushes and consistent film weights applied.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The drying tunnel allows for adjustable flash-off length, controllable jetted air from a hot water feed and infra-red from 0% to 100%.

Indian Customer Sees The Benefit Of a Full Schuberts System

A manufacturer of high end furniture and fit-out products, in New Delhi, has taken delivery of a full installation from Schuberts.

A full twin spray shop enclosure with treated air input system for top-coat spraying.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Flash-off section to allow the coatings to vent and flow out before drying.

 

Custom-dimensioned Schubox CIR drying system to dry the solvent coatings.

Giardina Group Showcase In 4 Minutes

Giardina Group, one of Schuberts key working partners have showcased their finishing business in the below video.

Available in the UK and Ireland, Schuberts supply Giardina equipment for finishing timber, engineered board, GRP, PVC, glass and composites.

These can be roller coating, vacuum coaters, profile spray, panel spray, sanding, brushing, UV coating and all types of drying tunnels and ovens.

 




Powder Coating Gas Catalytic IR System Installed

A new Schuberts gas catalytic IR powder green-cure tunnel system has just been installed, replacing a make-shift electric IR system.

All manufactured in-house and installed by our skilled engineers in less than 5 days, commissioned and handed over to a fantastic customer after testing and training.


With full control over each individual emitter via the HMI touchscreen, the customer can control energy at specific points within the system, or indeed turn off individual emitters according to size of piece, speed of line or type of powder being used.

This customer can now gel their powder on a line, running their overall powder coating system much faster, at a fraction of the energy cost of other technologies.

Automatic Profile Spray Line, Stacker and Schubox CIR System Installed

New Giardina profile spray line and stacking machine installed at a leading UK door manufacturer.

 

The line consists of:-

– Infeed belt conveyor.

– 1VE profile spray machine, with 3 interchangeable catchment tanks with 3 sets of Wagner guns and pumps, to switch seamlessly between different coating types and film thicknesses to be applied.

– Intermediate belt conveyor.

– 4 arm auto-stacker onto trolleys.

– Schubox CIR drying system.

 

The line can run with a single operator and coat pieces from beading (30mm) up to window board (300mm) from 800mm long to 3600mm long.

 

Production speeds are 15m/min up to 40m/min.

 

 

Once the trolley is full of wet product, the trolley is disengaged from the line, the system goes into pause and the wet trolley is loaded into a Schubox CIR drying system. Another empty trolley is loaded onto the stacker and the line starts up again.

 

A truly flexible and labour saving system!

Overhead Conveyor System and Schubox Finishing System For Joinery Manufacturer

A leading UK joinery manufacturer has taken delivery of an overhead conveyor system and custom Schubox CIR drying system from Schuberts.

An open-fronted spray booth was relocated along the factory wall, with steel work supports and manual tracking system.

 

The products are loaded onto the conveyor, sprayed and then put into the Schubox gas catalytic infra red drying system for between 15 and 30 minutes to cure properly, before being denibbed and then back for spraying.

 

The Schubox is very much a custom spec, being ATEX rated, 4000mm long x over 4000mm high and offset bias door sets on either end.

The complete system was installed in 6 working days, speeds up the whole process, allows the joinery to be coated both sides in one pass, whilst making a significant labour saving.
