Automotive and Intralogistics Customer Chooses Schuberts For Their New UK Factory

Schuberts were approached to design, manufacture and install a bespoke high-end finishing system to deal with solvent based coatings, but to future proof the system for water-based in the coming years.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The system comprises of 5 separate ‘cells’, side by side to give the best possible product flow and quality.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Two of the cells are preparation dust booth enclosures, featuring full filtered air input, extraction and controlled air diffusion back into the factory zone.

 

Two of the cells are spray/dry enclosures, have modulating burners for spraying or drying, either full recirculation or full vent.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The systems can run from ambient to 20c for spraying and up to 60c for drying and baking. Full interlocks are provided and automatic roller doors ensure the zones are kept sealed during each of the operations.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

A large paint mix room has permanent extraction, filtered air input, an ATEX heating system and a bunded floor to contain any spills.
